This wiki was originally part of the e-learning activities supplementing the Renaissance Culture lecture series given by Prof Pankratz at the English Seminar of Bochum University in 2008/9.
This wiki was established in the winter semester of 2008/9. Since then, it has been part of the e-learning activities of various lecture courses in British Cultural Studies.
Now, in the summer semester of 2009, the lecture course focuses on Restoration Culture - and so does this wiki.


It aims at providing a guide to the fascinating times of the English Renaissance and Restoration, offering explanations of the key terms and concepts relevant to the epochs as well as biographies of their most prominent figures in politics and the arts.
