1910-2001. British activist against sex, violence and smut especially on TV. Founding member and also president of the National Viewers and Listeners Association. Also active against obscenity (or supposed obscenity) on stage. Drama fans know her as the person who brought Howard Brenton to court for Romans in Britain.
