Elizabeth Howard

1480 - April 7, 1538. Countess of Wiltshire. Mother of Anne Boleyn, Mary Boleyn and George Boleyn. Wife of Thomas Boleyn.

Elizabeth Howard, later Elizabeth Boleyn, was the daughter of Thomas Howard, second Duke of Norfolk, and Elizabeth Tilney. She was a lady-in-waiting for the mother of Henry VIII, Elizabeth of York and later for his first wife Catherine of Aragon. She met and married her Husband Thomas Boleyn around 1500. Even tough only three of her children survived, she is said to have had multiple deceased children. While the relationship she had with her younger daughter Anne was a very close one, the relationship to her eldest daughter Mary was not as intimate and friendly.
